New Wearable Tech: CES 2016
Reporting live and freezing my buns off from the dessert here in Las Vegas attending CES 2016!!!
Let’s talk about wearable technology and how its changing the way we store data. We are now hosts of our own personal data, changing the relationship with our health care providers. With more information than ever before, we as consumers/patients rely less on doctors in monitoring our own health.
Is it a new pseudo way of life or something that’s here to stay? I can’t decide just yet until I know for sure the data is accurate. I remember working my butt off (literally) in the gym and my Apple watch was not recording the data. Turns out it was because I wasn’t waling my arms enough, although I climbed a ton of stairs. For me, the verdict is still out.
This is my first time experiencing a tech trade show of this size. The floor plan for this event is just massive; it took hours to canvas one portion of the North Hall. I must have gotten lost a thousand times like Adele “hello from the other side”! haha Besides its overwhelming grandeur, being at CES (2016) and seeing tons of new gadgets make their launch into market has been truly inspirational.
If you’re worrying about getting “catfished”, and that it will never look the same in person as it does online this might work for you...
The best thing since sliced bread? Not sure if it was matched this year’s CES as we’re still waiting for that “wow-factor” that will change the way we live, like the iPhone did.
Makes us think about how disruptive these new tech devices really are. I’m curious as to how wearable technology can change and invent something completely different than before.
Fitness is having a huge moment in fashion and its 15 minutes of fame are not up yet. It’s so easy to throw on workout clothes to go to the gym or grocery shopping. Even if you’re not headed to the gym you look like its your next stop. We’re spending more than ever these days on fitness gear and devices! Not to mention how much more comfortable it is to throw on a pair of yoga pants versus jeans and a tee with your fashionable fitness tracker.
Match made in heaven = fitness + fashion. Make every step count!!!
