Motivation Monday: Be Limitless
No matter where you are in your life, there comes a time when you ask yourself, "what am I doing with my life?" Whether you’re re-thinking your college major, jumping back into the dating game, or starting a new project at work, once that self-doubt creeps into your mind, heart, & soul, you think it’s nearly impossible to make a decision or achieve your goal. But, even worst, just imagine how giving up would make you feel.
Ask. Believe. Receive.
Change your mindset that you’re not “trying to be” something, you ARE that something. Just that small change in wording changed my whole perspective! Always keep moving and have a curious mind exploring what you’re looking to achieve. Seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened, ask and it will be given. Sounds so simple yet we tend to make things more complicated. Sometimes the answers we’re looking for are right in front of us, we just need to believe in the process.
Think of all the stories about famous public figures and how they've failed numerous times before getting their big break. This proves that letting go of your dreams because they're "too hard" cannot be more daunting than living a life unfulfilled. Let's take J.K Rowling for example; she was rejected several times before the success of "Harry Potter".
Trust the Process
Make a mistake? So what! Dust yourself off, put on some gangsta rap and try it again! After all, you just learned something so be proud of yourself. There's probably a good reason why the first thing you tried didn't work; it simply wasn’t the “one.” There is no such thing as a straight line to success and those city rocks might feel like skyscrapers at first. But, realize there is a good reason for misfortunes and a higher power is guiding you in the right direction.
Motivational triggers are unique for everyone. When you first wake up in the morning, what fuels your day? For me, staying organized its key so I keep a list front and center to keep sight of my objectives. Inspiration is also huge so I like to switch things up often to keep things fresh. No matter what works for you, keep it up and remember positive thoughts create a positive attitude and outlook.
So as the season changes, let’s spring forward with thoughts of relentlessness and in the words of Ray Lewis, "if you ain't pissed off for GREATNESS, that means you’re OK with being mediocre.” We all have everything we need within us to be successful. So remind yourself that YOU have the power to accomplish whatever you want and that power manifests the moment you make up your mind that nothing can stop you.
